I was on the phone with my friend the whole time. He managed to get one (wanted 5 but the website kept changing his order to 1) I did not get lucky. Have been wanting one of these for years. Hopefully the aftermarket won't be so strong.
So ridiculous. I got both loaded in my cart and put 2 O privy marks in my cart by mistake. Site kept crashing during checkout. Crashed when I tried to remove one of the O's. By the time my checkout went through, the CC's were sold out and it made me remove it from my cart. But I'm supposedly confirmed for TWO O's. SMH. MYBE i CAN find someone to trade an O for a CC.
BTW, I order these for my husband while he's at work. I swear every time I'm done with the mint but keep getting sucked back in.
The site seemed to do better for me today than other hot items as of late. I was able to get 10 of both. Still took a lot of refreshing though.
Yeah, connection speed isn't the issue here. It's on their end. You get some advantage from a faster connection, but it's tiny. We've got something like 100 megabit down and 12 megabit up, and I was still able to get through (eventually).
Well, dealers are getting through. Unless they are screening IP addresses on the Mint’s server, how are dealers and flippers grabbing all of them up?
By sending out emails to all their customers and contacts, asking them to pile on, and then sell the products to the dealer at a (modest) profit?
That's a great question because I got "bad handshake" and "bad gateway" error messages several times.
Keep trying…. Click on Reminder. Once they sort out the initial mess… there may be more available. The website seems to be locked up a bit. I can’t put anything in my cart (even non-Morgan sets). The phone lines are also still very busy. So, they may be sorting things out.
I was still trying to find my cart to checkout when they sold out. Just saved me some $$ I guess. No big deal!
