I am just buying the peace dollar 'If i can' considering all the bot accounts taking everything when I tried to buy the congratulations set early this year. + Select Partner Program Dealers get 10% of the production of this on release day in advance.
I'm gonna try, assuming I'm back out from under by then. But I'm more interested in the Peace issue and the non-privy Morgans.
Those interested are welcome to mine. I'll be holding out for a year, or two, or three if necessary. When the price returns to normal I'll buy on the secondary market. If it never returns to 'normal' my life will still be complete without them. The Mint has proven they are a government sanctioned scam. I stopped supporting that years ago.
I’m going for three CC and a couple O’s. Know someone else that’s not on CT who’s doing the same. These are not intended to be a flippers dream issue. I think the mintages are right where most,( but not all) who want them should be able to get them. They’ll probably not ever be multiples of the issue price but could very well maintain double the issue price. So at that I’ll buy them now and stash them. No intention to resell any. Will go for at least five Peace on the 7th and a Philly Morgan. Best of luck to everyone today. I wonder if the dealers got their 10% of the mintages on these in advance like they did with the ASEs?
Just more expensive mint bullion...they would file in the commem. box anyway...not a real silver dollar.
from coin news: https://www.coinnews.net/2021/05/21/pre-release-2021-morgan-and-peace-silver-dollar-information/ "Mint officials hope the 2021 dollars will sellout as that would signal support for an ongoing series of annual issues which is already permitted under the authorizing law. Such a series could result in Morgan and Peace silver dollars with varying finishes, like proof, reverse proof, enhanced uncirculated and circulating, as well as special sets and product pairings. It would be a non-commemorative annual program — similar to the American Eagle and Buffalo series — that could potentially create a new generation of Morgan and Peace dollar collectors." I dunno about all that, it's all still a hard pass for me. "a non-commemorative annual program", struck on commemorative blanks of course! sounds wonderful.Just what we need, an annual bullion coin that weighs less than 1 oz of silver. I'm gonna kick back and watch what happens, as a spectator. LOL
Circulating "finish" that's what it was talking about, the finishes, not that they would circulate. LOL
Good luck to all who are attempting today's madness. I will attempt to battle the web bots for a couple of each. Not getring my hopes up though If i fail I may be back to rant lol Good luck!
Since I now live in southern Nevada, I will try to purchase the Morgan with the cc privy mark. Not very optimistic though.
... and the checkout crashed. I'm shocked, shocked! UPDATE: After 17 timeouts or gateway errors, I finally got my order through.
