I get the feeling it has a lot to do with taxes and eBay appeasing the government, making it easier track and more accessible to audit. Maybe keep tabs on social security recipients too, God forbid they earn $20 here and there and don't report it. Uncle Sam and his 50 nephews wanna make sure they're in control and getting their cut. SMH. Where is everyone else buying and selling now? Think I'll be making a switch. I like my freedom and privacy, already cut out Facebook and Twitter guess eBay's going now too!
Sorry about the multiple posts it told me to refresh the page and try again and now it looks like I spammed the forum. (Not my intention at all). ☹️
You're not the first by a long shot, and it looks like it got cleaned up anyhow. Welcome to CoinTalk!
I don't know every nuance there is about the managed payments, but I can say that in all the categories I work with, only a bit more information is required, but, I am putting more money in my pocket than I used to when things went throug PayPal. I hated it at first, not knowing how I was going to get paid and like so many others, I figured I'd lose money, not at all true. I am surprised, but I'm really liking it with one exception. I used to use the money I made that was in my PayPal account to buy other things and I didn't feel as guilty because the money was coming from sales and not my paycheck, that is not true anymore, that took some getting used to, and it's help curb my bying.
Yep, I had the same psychological trick going on. I guess it's better not to be tricking myself, though.
I don't mind it. Money is money. Managed by eBay doesn't cost any more than PayPal, so what do I care?
