I'm sorry for picture quality, I still don't know the best ways to take pictures. I picked this coin up in a lot of coins. I need it for my circulated collection. After factoring in the other coins I purchased, think I paid around $30 for this one.

In all honesty I'm somewhat concerned the coin may be a fake. Can you get it weighed and report back ?

Hm all i have is a food scale and its not good with grams. I'll try weighing it though.

Alright it weighs 26 grams. My scale doesn't go to the decimal.

Why would someone make a fake of this bad looking coin ?
I know a 1934S is a great coin, but in this shape I would not pay
    more than $13.21 for it

If your scale is correct it's a fake. But take it to a jewelry store, they can weigh it accurately.

Question, does its dull grey appearance give it the cleaning call? Looks like someone had it lying in a jar of silver polish for a while. Is this a good call? Or did I miss something. Thanks for the help.

All do respect, but that's a horrid piece. I would sell it for spot and put it towards something respectable.

If it's a Chinese fake, made with base metals, and it brings in $30 for the "melt value", a mass production could bring in hundreds of thousands of dollars, which in China would be the equivalent of millions. Also, a slick/cull would not be subject to much scrutiny, while a high-grade coin of this date would be carefully examined.
