Hello my friends here at CT, I hope your all doing great. I have a thing for error coins folks. Please forgive me. I would like all you coinheads to please check out this 1969 S and please lmk if it's a ddo. I'm not making fun of anyone by calling us coinheads. I'm one too. Thank you all. Peace 20210520_041252.jpg 20210520_041425.jpg

I'm not seeing a Doubled Die variety at all.

Here is a clear picture of a true 1969 Doubled Die

    Oh no... Not again. :banghead:

no... It is not the DDO. There have been like 100 threads asking the same question. None have had an actual 1969 s doubled die.

What makes you think this is a DDO? Your photos are poor, not cropped and too small.

I hate to say it, but you're no "coinhead." Coinheads don't hold coins like that, especially a coin suspected of being a major doubled die, for a little issue called "fingerprints."

Nice coin, but it's not, so to speak, the kid with all the candy. Sorry about that.

Why do you have to be such an Edited. You dont have to be like that to help me understand or teach me something. Is it necessary? I'm sorry but calm down my friend. I'm not trying to be mean just civil. Thank you

Why do I have to be such an EDITED Why do you have to be such a edited? You're the one who made the crack about the coinhead expecting us to take it in humor, and look at what I said, I did exactly that, playing on it in my reply. You can dish it out, but you can't take it. Don't call me an edited for it. Grow the hell up.

@Cointop Smith it sounded a little harsh the way he said it, but he is basically saying to hold the coin by the edges and don't touch the faces of the coin because the oil on your hands can damage the coin's condition, making it less valuable.

@eddiespin and the rest of us are here to help and we will let you know if you've found something. Instead of cussing somebody out, you can just click ignore on their profile and you wont see their posts anymore.

Coincidentally, the 1969-S is notorious for strike doubling, as is the 1968-S, which only confuses the doubled die issue the more.

Regardless, that coin is in pretty nice shape for it's age. I'd keep it if I got it in my change.
