Please identify this "1948" Mercury Dime

    Side by side - the only difference is that on the worn coin the bottom of the 0 is blending with the rim.

    Looks like a 1940 to me when you line up the digits.

    Nickel date restorer does not work on other coins. Only nickels.

    True.:)-O) nickel date restorer only works on nics, or others coin that have nickel in it's com.

    No offense intended, but I would not be too concerned with it. Clearly it's not a 48 or 49 as suggested. I believe Treashunt is on the money with a 43.

    No way, I have both the 43 and 40 in a number examples. I stand by a battered 40 and will not further the discussion.:mouth:

    Your all just to scarred to admit the existance of that 48 or 49 Mercury Dime.:smile So why not a possible 1946 with a bent down top of the 6?:rolleyes:
