I saw this when I logged on to my account Purchasers of the “W” American Eagle 2021 One Ounce Silver Proof Coin (21EAN), please note: Demand for this product is extremely high. In order to accommodate as many customers as possible, we are unable to accept increases to enrollment orders for this product. I always order 4 one for me and one for each of my grand children.
For your sake, I hope that the employees in the order department are smart enough to understand that you haven't increased your order. "we are unable to accept increases to enrollment orders"
@Collecting Nut Me too, they change my subscription one year but I was able to place an order with them for the other 3 I needed.
It's not just about demand for the product. It's a lack of availability of getting the blanks, a lot of which come from Australia. There's a lot in the news about it in the trade papers. Patrick Heller has been reporting on it for at least three consecutive issues of Numismatic News. The whole silver supply chain is being disrupted by to much demand for silver overall.
I'm glad they are on enrollments though, kept hearing people say the type 2's wouldnt be on the enrollment! was not looking forward to trying to go on website to get on release day with all the craziness that it will be!
Same thing happened in 2009 which is why there were no 2009 ASE proofs. The law requires the mint to at least try to satisfy the demand for the bullion coins but does NOT require them to make proofs for collectors. So the blanks that would have been used for proofs were diverted into bullion coin production.
