Hello everyone, Believe it or not the following was metal detected in 1 1/2 hours (5:30 - 7:00 PM) by me at my local park in a new section that I've been wanting to try. 2 Winged Liberty Head Dimes 1 Silver Roosevelt 1950's Lone Ranger Safety Scout Silvercup Pin Internet information - Eveything - The reason I only detected for such a short time was that I had to rush back home to participate in a bible study zoom meeting for the couples at my church. Next time I will detect the spot a little longer!
Has to be a record for you Ed. So, did the soil just part and push up the coins? Once again, you continue to amaze us.
Awesome digger right there.. with the jagged cutting edges on side /// cuts right through ground.. nice..
That shovel could be considered a dangerous weapon. I’d sure give a wide berth to anyone carrying it.
You beat me to it, Tonto, I was go call him that! It just occurred to me, oh daring and resourceful masked rider of the local parks, don't you need a permit to dig in those? Just wondering; nice score! Oh, what the hell...
NYC Parks Department Detecting permit. I have one every year for the past 10 years. With a list of parks and beaches which could be detected. The parks department officers already know me
All Paddyman has to do while metal detecting is raise his detector into the air like the staff of Moses and the Earth parts and the coins rise up. Teach me your ways!
Thought as much. I've seen amateurs, Ed, and you're no amateur. Figured you of all people would be going it by the book.
I just went metal detecting for an hour this morning and found 11 cents, (a dime and a penny) a pull tab, and a plug from a person who previously detected there. Didn't know anyone else did that around here. I found a square chunk of metal under it.
