    The dents in the edge makes it look like it was in a bezel of some sort for a while, they would have to damage it to get it in or out of there, just my opinion :)

    It looks to me as though a mint employee chewed on it until the end of his shift, then put it back.

    Nice honest wear and toning. The 1958 looks like it got caught in a coin sorting machine. Maybe a coin counter.
