I’m teased about my pennies. Lots to learn. Quote “ my pennies have pee pee stains”. Maybe these will have some. Tossed the pennies aside for a while.
You realize he was being serious, right? anyways, have fun looking through that bag. is it an ebay buy or..?
I may be wrong, but i think she was having some fun too, lol. Have fun with those dollars and halves @PamR !
My dad’s and some newer ones were rolls of 2021 quarters my husband brought. People are spending their coins, Morgan’s etc. Trying times for some. I do not buy anything on eBay. And that bag, it’s bags! Yes, I know he is serious. The ones that are, well let’s just say they were new at one time. Sure I can read the book from front to back. And I will. Hope some do not treat or speak to their customers like that. It’s a hobby! A hobby I’m learning. If I choose not to continue, I’ll look on the wanted forum. But most of my dad’s coins from his travels, I’ll save for my son. Thanks for the heads up! Oh the “obverse” I mean! Lol!
I was.. but if a 1982 large date or small? A 1943 ? Or an “S” one, for me as a beginner, it is fun. Or a rare Sacajawea. 1882 Silvers. Etc. It’s easy to buy something. The fun part is searching. I can order from mint anytime.
Looking through those coins can be a very exciting journey!! I envy you having that opportunity. Good luck!!! Find some real treasures!
The CC is a blockbuster key, that's why I asked. You never know. The 1881-S is a great coin to have because it's one of the best detailed dies in the business. It's a common issue, but a very well-built one, just say. BTW, kind of nice finally seeing a little of this stash we've been hearing about. Looks like you've got your work cut out for you. Maybe we can see more you think may be interesting. They don't have to have errors. In fact, those are just a small, incidental part of this hobby. The main event is the coins and their condition.
Thanks a bunch. Really appreciate it. Yes these are beautiful coins. Have had these a long time along with others. No more pennies unless they are special! Lol! Thanks again.
From the U.S. Mint web site!! "The penny was one of the first coins made by the U.S. Mint after its establishment in 1792. The design on the first penny was of a woman with flowing hair symbolizing liberty. The coin was larger and made of pure copper, while today’s smaller coin is made of copper and zinc."
