I will be visiting Germany (around Dusseldorf and Cologne) this December and would like to find some Coin Shops that have a good selection of Roman coins.

    Does anyone have suggestions?

In Düsseldorf you could also try Münzen Ritter, in Immermannstraße (close to the main railway station). http://www.muenzen-ritter.com/

There are a couple at the back of the Dom in Cologne, cant remember the name of the street but it is heading down into the old town near the farmers steak house if I remember correctly.
Also try the floating Xmas market there use to be a guy on the ship who sold coins

Right, that would be Stuckert. They have two stores in the Old Town - one in Schneider-Wibbel-Gasse 8 (looks a little old fashioned), another one in Akademiestraße 5 (more modern, more space). Don't think they have a lot of ancients though. See http://www.briefmarken-stuckert.de/ and click on "Wir über uns" to see where the stores are.

Too bad my time in Germany will be in Frankfurt on a weekend, and no time for coin buying next week.

There are some coin shops in Frankfurt but as I recall, the GPS showed most of them to be far away from the city center. There is one located a couple streets directly across from the train station just to the right hand side. They had some coins displayed in the windows but have always been closed when I tried to visit. If you visit the shop in the evening, then the coins in the windows will be illuminated by all the red lights in the area. Make sure you keep your eyes focused on the coins. They were open on Saturday morning but closed all day Sunday as I remember.
