Was trying very had to ID this one and the answers adding up scary sweet... so please please someone check me Large 8 check.... Small stars check.... Should be Med letters... but on comparison I'm seeing "large letters" and if that's the case it makes this Large cent an N-7..... That's a proof coin.... I may have just gotten a proof LC for $8.88 Can't wait to get this one in hand!!
was pointed to a new resource for LCs without having to visit the library on that note I'm now 99% sure it's an n-4. as for the resource John Wrights "the cent book" is availble free online (wish i had known before making so many trips to the library to use this book lol) https://archive.org/details/centbook181618390000john/mode/2up

Hi MrWeasluv. Sorry, but your 'new' 1834 cent is N-04. I show pix below of your coin, an N-04, and an N-07 cent of 1834. The N-07 is now known by either eight or nine examples, three of which are VG or less. So keep looking -- you just might get lucky.

John Wright's reply is pretty convincing. It may not be an N-7 but there is nothing wrong with having an N-4 either. Thanks for posting it.
