2003A's with the S/N starting out with 2010. Just like the 2009's that remain on sale - this gimmick is getting old with the BEP. The 2008's were hot at one point in time and have cooled down also.

    Thanks for the link!

I bought a couple of 10-bank subscriptions in 2009 thinking there would be a good market for them for resale. I have not found that to be the case however.

Eh, so the serial number starts with 2010, so what? I never figured out what the big deal with these things are, and I consider myself a big fan of $2 bills (the majority of the US currency I collect are $2's. Well maybe not a majority, but certainly a plurailty.). I just don't get what collectors see in these, and I am one.

Now if there was a way to sign up to a subscription for each new series of $2's that I'd sign up for. $2 series are so far apart that I never seem to hear the news when a new series actually comes out. (No announcement's been made one way or the other yet, but it seems unlikely that there's going to be a series 2009 $2 bill.)

The BEP's offerings have been a little stale for a while. A few nice sets like the $2 Double Lucky Money and the 2006 $5 series set, but that's about it.

Hopefully the 2009 series will bring out some good products. I saw recently they were selling 2009 Series $1 FRN's in uncut sheets - interesting.

The Federal Reserve just posted its 2010 new currency budget, which notes that no $2's have been ordered for the 2010 fiscal year, and none are planned for the 2011 fiscal year either. So the soonest we could see another $2 printing would be fiscal year 2012, which begins in October 2011.

Of course, any $2's printed then might *still* be Series 2009, if the Rios-Geithner signatures are still current at the time....

Meanwhile, the BEP will likely continue to print small quantities of $2's for collectors, in uncut sheets and perhaps other formats as well--but all of these would be printed from the existing Series 2003A plates, as it wouldn't be cost-effective to create a new master plate just for such a small printing.

That adds up based on the notes I can still get from the bank.

I can still get pack fresh 2003A $2 F (Atlanta) district straps as late as 2 weeks ago. The 2006 two run printing put out 19.2 million $2 FRN's for the Atlanta district and this was the only printing since then (except for the special 2008,2009 and 2010 sets). The last straps I picked up was S/N114442##, 8## and 9## - so there has to be some still in vaults.
