im srry i cant really get any good pictures but it looks like the 992 and D are doubled and the nose up to about the middle of the forehead also looks doubled, im srry i cant get photos up( stupid camera cant take close up pictures) just wanted to hear your gys input and/or suggestions
The 92 D's seem to have a lot of machine doubling, some of it quite extensive. Does it look kinda like this one? If so it just MD and will not command a premium.
jhc's pic's show distortion of the copper coating so if your(BenjyH_2009)coin yes looks like it,then likely it is just a 'doubling' of the top layer of copper plate.
The photo shown is definitely plating split/break "doubling" that is very common on LMCs from that time. P.S. It is much easier to simply scan a coin than it is trying to photograph it. Just some friendly advice.
1992 Lincoln's are notorius for this type doubling, 1992 Lincoln's are notorius for this type doubling (and other forms), as are many from 1983 thru about the mid 1990's. Please just keep looking and as time goes on, you gain more experience you will know.
More were minted like this one than a MS-66+ !that is a shame finding a MS65-67. as hard as the error coin!
