Hi my friends at CT, thank everyone who gave me great birthday greetings. It was a beautiful day. I want to ask your opinions on a coin. Is it possible to stretch a penny to the size of a quarter and not distort the penny in any way? Thank you all

I have seen pennies expanded in size before, my friend found a nickel-sized one a week ago.

I have no idea how it is done but I know it is possible. Maybe someone else can chime in.

Why do you ask? You’re not thinking of replacing them in quarter rolls are you? :hilarious:

Here ya go. "Size of a quarter" might not be practical, but "size of a nickel" is apparently easy. Of course, it gets thinner, too.

Not at all my friend. One of my friends showed me a 45 what penny that is the size of a quarter. I looked at it very close and cannot see any place on it that shows where the metal gave in to stretching. The wheat is all in 100% perfect place. I'm going to see if he'll let me post y'all some pics. Thanks for your input on this.
