Yes it is damage probably caused by the reeded edge of another coin hitting it in processing.

I'm keeping all 2021 Quarters I run across. I have a feeling something strange is going on with them......All the Alabama TA quarters are "sold Out" at the mint ....(still 2020's left) and the WCD quarters are not being offered by the mint at all. I think it's possible that 2021 will be a "key date". I will hold onto them until the mintage figures come out. I have been fortunate enough to get some solid TA quarter rolls which I will leave unopened for now.
Also in another thread, somebody mentioned that there is a shortage of quarters and dimes per the Fed.

That’s how I ended up with the both Delaware and Alabama. Louisiana must have received some at a main vault in Baton Rouge. I had just started getting few rolls after I started with my dad’s coins. Thank you!!

That doesn't seem right at all. That would put them on par with the W quarters. I'm sure more then that have been minted. Gotta be!

Pam...by now you should recognize the marking on the coin is reeding marks from another quarter. And next time you see this you can trust your learning and you can be sure...jmho...Spark

Spark, let me ask a question. If you were to receive a coin that printed something from another coin, like trust, a number etc, would you post it?

Finally found some mintage numbers for the Alabama TA quarter,,,,,,Looks like the Philly mint did about half as many as the Denver mint. Even though the numbers are high.......still going to hold onto them awhile. Paid Face for most of the rolls I have with the exception of the Mint rolls I bought. (P,D,S).

    P 160,400,000
    D 304,000,000
    S TBA Uncirculated
    S TBA Proof
    S TBA Silver proof
    (P) TBA Silver bullion
    P TBA Silver bullion, uncirculated

Yes, it were to be 2,000,000 only, I would say that would be pretty rare coins indeed.

No. Because what you are describing sounds a whole lot like damage. Tons of weird things are done to coins and I don't post about any coin until I have done my research and due diligence...jmho...Spark

Yes the coins go through many stages and coins are tampered with. As one said the 2021s may have different meaning.

Please explain who this "one" is who said something and how that relates to 2021 coins having a different meaning...Spark

Spark, read thread above. Beardigger stated his thoughts on 2021 and 2020 coins. His opinion of course. Apparently you are just here to critique me without reading the whole thread. No I’m not the perfect with coins. I’m not here looking for a gold mine. If I were, I would have sold my father’s coins which are worth some funds. Nothing against the ones that do, but for me, I am learning and enjoying asking “cointalk” questions. Yes I read and research and as on another thread, how some confront new people about MD coins etc, get stammered before some here investigate. Example, a nickel I posted and also a penny that was said later, yes I see. I’m not here to feud, just here for “cointalk”. Beardigger above posted great info for a couple of us to read. Should have the title “supporter”.
