Odd graffiti "Fresano 10/6/42"

    What do you make of this? Fresano seems to be "strawberry" in Italian. The date doesn't correspond to any major events (in the Italian campaign or otherwise). Perhaps someone named Fresano's wedding? Or was it slang for something like "popping a cherry" would be?

    Host coin is an 1890-S Morgan that may have an overdate or repunched numerals.

    There's some funky doubling on the "In God We Trust" as well as the overdate or date repunching:

    Right? I mean, 1942 was as longer ago from today than it was from 1890 when the coin acquired this "tattoo".

    That appears to be MD-machine doubling with a lot of anomalies e.t.c.

    How common is machine doubling on Morgans from that era? I haven't come across it much.
