1861 CSA $50.00 Note

    Here’s a $50.00 CSA Note. The center is a bust of Jefferson Davis, President of the Confederacy. No pin holes, just normal wear. This rates as a F+/VF bill. There is a signature on the reverse but I have not been able to identify it. I have had this bill for almost 9 years now. The serial number is 14145 and the signatures are highlighted by a green box.

    It almost looks like the serial number is 14143. Maybe it’s just me.

    I know. I thought the same. It was identified as a 5. Do you recognize the signature on the reverse. No one has been able to I’d it other than it’s from the era of the early 1860’s.

    Thanks, I’ll keep searching but it’s not a priority. The ones which can be identified are climbing in price. I have a few but this one stumps me.
