1964 no mint mark Jefferson nickel

    Greetings all friend of mine who works at Burger King found this 1964 no mint mark Jefferson nickel in the register so he snagged it up brought it to me (not that I'm an expert LOL) to find out about it did some research came up with a couple things I know the SMS has vertical die polishing lines satin finish no contact marks also sharp edges now I might not be saying this right but I believe you get the picture could this be a circulated proof maybe even an impaired circulated proof thanks for checking it out and I love all you people out here smile and thanks IMG_20210502_090059226.jpg IMG_20210502_090111017.jpg

    Yes its definitely a proof and a keeper,no mm means Philadelphia as all these earlier proofs were struck their.

    A few bucks 64 proofs are kind of like 64 business strikes mintage wise and how many still look like this today.

    Honestly, I would hold back on that price. These are really common and often go for under a dollar.

    These can be had for $.50 or less. Nice impaired proof.

    Definitely a proof. Nice to find in change. Not worth that much, as it is a circulated, impaired proof, but cool to find one from a cash register.

    Depending on the status of the finder's collection ( if there is one ) that's a keeper, if for no other reason than it's a proof found in register change.

    When I first started collecting, ALL of my finds came from register change including Indians, Wheaties, Buffalo nickels, silver dimes and quarters, paper money and even a NORFED coin, which, BTW, I just bought another one on eBay.

    hey @Jimm you got a super nice proof nickel for a circulated coin. I've found a few here and there but they have all been Lincoln pennies. this is the 1st time seeing the NORFED coin you have. i like the whole lay out on both sides. great j9ob on getting both coins. good luck to ya sir
