Nice Gold Pieces !! I like how he says "Only" . Some people collect their whole lives and never have owned just one .
I really like that first one im actually saving up for one of course not a half eagle the best I can do is a quarter.
If you go back to the very old quarter eagle types, 1796 to 1834, those coins are much tougher than the $5 and $10 coins. They are the real budget busters, and bears to find even when you have the money.
The Liberty Head Eagles are easy if you stick to the early 1900s. The Indian Head is a bit tougher. The 1904 Liberty Double Eagle is the most common date. The St. Gaudens $20 is very easy, but expensive because of the gold content. Do yourself a favor and save up for one in at least MS-63 or better still 64.
Yes capped busts each date does not have over a 5K mintage besides the 1821 and only a few dozen of them exist in MS condition as they get older and older e.t.c
I like that $5.00 Indian. Someday in the far future I will own 1. I had a $2.50 Indian , but sold it during hard times.
