So far... I'm thinking it's over for the week, though. Last week's is on here somewhere. Two pretty good weeks. https://www.cointalk.com/threads/what-did-coinjockey73-find-today.375864/page-19
Great finds CoinJockey! You must have a war chest of silver by now Your thread inspired me to pick up a few rolls at the bank yesterday. Boy did I pick a bad time to start coin roll hunting lol. My bank basically refused to give me any coins. They said they just got another memo in from the Federal Government stating that the coin shortage was back. I had to threaten to close my account to get $5 in pennies and $5 in nickels. Not to mention I have a business account at the very same bank lol. You can't make this stuff up. Anyway good luck and I hope the Coin gods smile upon you in your search
Don't you live in Florida? If you're close to an Interstate highway, might I suggest paying a visit to the nearest rest area. Most rest areas, as you already know, have change machines. To my knowledge, the Florida Department of Transportation stocks these machines with both $1 coins and quarters. Next time you're near one, you might want to bring a load of banknotes.
I hope you don't mind plenty of quarters and Presidential $1 coins. Regardless, you should be able to find proofs and NIFC issues relatively easily and be sure to check for certain rim varieties on the SBA $1 coins.
I have to take a look later with proper lighting and my loop. Thanks for the tip, and for stopping by.
Strange times. I tried coin roll hunting but i see such huge volumes of coin a day, that the small quantity doesn't do it for me, lol. And thank you, seems they've been good to me lately. I think those are my 86 or 87th silver quarter and my 80th silver dime, all found, in circulation. I'll weigh again this weekend, but it's a few lbs at this point, nothing special, these guys here buy silver bars! Thank you for stopping by and seeing the sights @Eric the Red, you're always welcome! May the coin gods send some luv your way too. Enjoy the weekend.
I had to wrap up early, and just when i think I'm getting skunked, i see the most shiny dime I've ever seen. I'm going to go out on a limb here, and say this is a proof strike, not a business strike. The fields are mirrors, and the image quite frosty. Not bad @potty dollar 1878 , huh?
@potty dollar 1878 , sorry kiddo, i just stopped by the post office to mail out these quarters, it was a mad house. Maybe tomorrow.
