Admittedly in rough shape, can you help me on what it's value should be? Thanks. 20210505_174119.jpg 20210505_174152.jpg

Thank you potty dollar 1878 for your help. I saw quite a few on Ebay in much better shape. I thought it would be in that general value.

Melt or even scrap value because of extensive damage.

There's very little wear, it's just harshly cleaned and damaged. I could give a little over bullion for it. Being in that shape, though, that would basically be its market, precious metals.

Definitely has dent(s). Got from old relatives coin hoard along with Indian Heads, Morgans, wheats, foreign, Kennedy's, Mercury's and more. It was the only gold coin. ;).

We take them as we find them, Gary. I've some old ones from old relatives that fit this category, too.
