Veiled Victoria Sovereign 1896

Well first I apologize for taking the photo of Victoria in the capsule.
I love these coins because of the Monarchs on them. Anyone else collect Sovereigns?

I believe they have a better value than just bullion depending on year and mint.
The mark on the reverse is on the holder....

I absolutely love sovereigns and bought several a few years ago when gold was cheaper. Now I can't afford them Also, I just realized that I'm missing a KGVI. That's gonna bother me.

I just looked at KGVI and they are quite rare so I don't feel so bad about not having one

Here are the rest of my sovs:

 

I have some pre-war French roosters, a Swiss 20 Franc, and a 1915 Austria Ducat. Austria is the only one that has an emperor's head on it.

I also like the collecting Victoria sovereign, especially the young portraits. Here are a few I picked up, just before their prices skyrocketed. Maybe I should branch out to the Melbourne Mint sometime in the future.

 

I love the early Young head with the coat of arms on the reverse.
I wish I would've bought more when I could still get them for a reasonable price.

 

Very nice, right now I am just trying to find the different rulers...Mints, I am not caring yet, but maybe I should.

 

All mine I bought from my LCS and it was just a random assortment. I lucked out in getting at least 1 of each.

 

This is all i have for now because its all I can afford, love those gold sovereigns and will own one soon hopefully.

Sovereigns are what got me started into other European coins and then eventually all over the world. Great coins.

Thanks. I bought them all the day after Brexit. I figured that gold may be going up and I had some extra cash and 1 less mouth to feed at the time

 

By the way, I totally missed the post where you talked about the KGVI being rare. My mistake!

 

I have:
1892 Hungary 10 Korona with the standing portrait of Franz Joseph, a 1854 France Napoleon III 20 franc, a 1908 Germany Wilhelm II 20 mark, a 1892 Austria 20 franc/8 florin with franz Joseph, a 1881 Italy umberto I 20 lire, and this one I got in the mail the other day.

 

Correction: the 10 korona is an 1893
