Kinda looks a bit like Machine Doubling. The T and Y in Liberty looks a bit shelf like IMO.

Why don't you try to learn something? Is it too complicated for you? It sure seems that way. What else could it be? Look at all the resources we've given you in these threads. It's like an encyclopedia. And you're still asking questions like this. You don't want to take the time and effort to learn, there's your problem. You need a simpler hobby, this one's beyond you.

A combination of things: Die Deterioration on the whole coin, Misaligned strike on obverse near bottom and also perhaps is camera producing the blurring effect due to focusing. No Doubled die effects seen. IMO, Jim

Slight misaligned strike on the top one, nothing else seems to be out of place :)

Hey Sarge. I wouldn't jump on that bandwagon too quickly. Variety Vista, Wexler, Potter, Ribar, all of them are not the end all of known varieties. New ones are being found on a fairly regular basis. I know, as I have personally found many unreported doubled die and several clash varieties. I will agree, however, that this person is really not doing their due dilligence and needs to hunker down with a few books or some more online research. Said with respect sir.

I think you may be mistaking that kind of split rim caused by the misaligned die strike as doubling?

Hi Tommy, I agree there is a chance of unknowns still being out there!! In fact I recall a recent thread that resulted in such a situation. The coin was even attributed if I remember correctly! I only make that recommendation when someone refuses to accept the answers provided by experienced members. I hoped looking on at least one of these sites would help him learn something about doubled dies so maybe he would stop posting damaged and MD coins then arguing about them. Nothing at all disrespectful about your comment. I always enjoy an intelligent communication and you had no idea what I had in mind when I posted my comment. Have a great day!!!!
