Over the years I have found hundreds of Polished, Plated, Holed, Smashed, Painted, Enameled, Acid Soaked, Spooned, Engraved, Counter Marked, and many other PMD type coins. Here are a few Plated, Polished, and Counter Marked examples I found in the last couple of years.
Wow... Somebody put some effort into that heart inlay.... I suppose mine would be a gold plated 1883 nickel.... You know, the ones that were supposed to be a racketeers nickel so Littleton plated a bazillion of them and passed them off as racketeers nickels..... Don't have a photo handy.
Both found CRH most of you know my famous and favorite 1910/1944 cent so many stories it can tell and (think of),also here's the Mason countestamped one.
That date supposedly has something to do with Hitler and the Nazi's first organizational meeting. Maybe Hans was there. I know I wasn't.
