My Wife Made Me (a few bucks - maybe)

Come on guys. Why should this thread die or be closed? It's amuzing to read at times. As an added bonus perhaps Pupa will visit again. Wouldn't that be special?

Now here's a TRUE story of how my wife may have made me a buck or two.

Last week she went to the in store bank at the grocery store. She overheard one teller ask another "Do you want to buy 43 silver dollars?". Being a coin widow my wife said she would take them. They also had 8 half dollars!

I got home from work and the booty was on the kitchen counter. You can imagine my excitement when I saw 43 clad Ike dollars laying there! I'm keeping one. A 1972 that is very worn and was obviously a pocket piece. Now it's MY pocket piece.
I'll spend the others or maybe my boss will buy them for a buck each.

As for the half dollars? There actually were two in there that I kept. Two proofs - a 1971 and 1974.

MY WIFE WENT TO THE BANK AND MADE ME RICH!

OR NOT, but at least she watches out for these things.

This was definitely the Lawyer. He even has a reputation for playing fast and loose with his clients estates. Anyway, he managed to take a 2M estate at the time of my uncles death and turn it into a 300K estate at the time of my aunts death 2 and a half years later. You would have to know my aunt to understand how miserly she was with her money and how absurd this reduction in estate size was.

Anyhow, after missing antique autos, gold coins are dismissed, it appears that he found adding himself to all her CDs as co-owner and beneficiary was perfectly reasonable to him. Then after her death, he charged the estate $500 to mow her small lot. It was just a coincidence that his son did the mowing. He also paid his office staff from the estate fund.

    It wasn't the relatives.

I'm sorry to have kept this thread alive. It was current and I was unaware of it's history when I responded.

lets think, a roll should be 20 pieces, times $4= $80!

SO, I'll round it up and give you an even $100, including postage of course.

    I'll PM you my address.

    Thanks, Ed.
