Heavens sakes..... It only just occurred to me that this is the old Obverse design reincarnated. Can’t get nothing by me! YeH, right...

In 1999 the obverse of the quarter was entirely redesigned when the state quarter series began. This new Crossing the Delaware quarter uses the old obverse that graced our quarters from 1932 until 1999.

 

This will be a one year quarter. This is one of five. Others will be of women.

 

It does look like some scratches but his nose?

I have not detailed all of the coin but oh my mess ups on George. It’s a roll with all the same coins. And I know the vaults do not sort lol.

Baton Rouge

 

I would go to a Capital One or Hancock bank or go to a busy store and ask for a couple of rolls. Tell them you need for laundry. Worth a try.because if Baton Rouge has them surely one of the main vaults or in New Orleans.

 

Well it will have to cross the Wisconsin before I ever see one.

 

Did George wear a toupee?

 

I remember that he did not wear a wig of the day but did style his hair in the barrister kind of way and that was his own ponytail, and he was known to "powder" his hair for that famous white haired look. ...One of the random useless bits of trivia I remember lol.

 

No, but he had toupee every once in a while...

Brand new coins. 2 rolls I’m going through. The one with the hair was the first I looked at. Others have flaws. Not sure poor George getting abused.

 

Yes most don’t but then you have scratches with some flaws. It is a shame. But the hair on the first one, glad you saw that. I knew it was different.

 

On April 26 I pulled 43 out of $200.00 in bank rolls I got from a BB&T branch in Columbia S.C.
