So I submited coins to ANACS 14 or so days ago and I know they got there, but I have not heard a word from them. You would think even a curtisy email would be nice to say they arrived.

    The real question is...
What did you submit? Just curious of course.

I understand thats a little bothersome. Did you have a tracking number or anything..? That would give me some more confidence, personally.

Although, whether we like it or not it seems that our perception of the chance of it not getting there is higher than the actual chance of it not getting there. I know I'm an overthinker and tend to get caught up on such things.

It got there. It was sent priorty mail and it was tracked. It is just the silense that is unsettling. I sent my Morgan Pattern :)

So they have there Cents and Dollars sale so I went to the bank and picked up a roll of fresh Cents and sent them off as a look see. $10 x 50 is only $500 and then I asked to identify varieties for anout $10 dollars each and conservation... you never know what you might get in a roll of pennies from Chase Manhattan Bank on Broadway and Cedar St.

    Wait....o_O

You went to your local Chase, got a roll of cents, and then cent that roll blindly to ANACS for them to grade each of those 50 cents at $10 each? Without opening up the roll first? What if it's just a bunch of Zincolns with shiny enders?

You're more daring then I am is all I can say.

You have no idea what you sent them. No dates, mint marks, errors, no idea at all. I can think of a lot of better things to do with $500.00 and you want them to contact you so you can be told that they received them?

How many customers send coins to them everyday? Are they expected to contact everyone of them? That’s what tracking numbers are for.

    Courtesy not curtisy.
    Silence not silense.
    Their not there.

Maybe they didn't understand what you were trying to tell them.

I debated making that same response.
    Thank you for saying it.

There is a process at all third party graders and I'm sure they differ from company to company. I'm sure that if they arrived safe and sound that you'll hear something shortly.

If I read correctly, plus another $10 each to check for varieties and also conservation!

I'm really hoping this guy was only kidding about sending in a fresh unsearched roll of pennies.... if you got money to throw around like that...

It satisfy your curiosity and ease your conscious, we sent 20 1973 Clad Eisenhowser Dollars from proof sets. Most in flips but we ran out, so some in round plastic holders. They are charged to Pop's credit card and his mail box since I generally live in a dorm. It was about $270 in total according to our calculation. It is for fun and learning. I would post the form, but it has a Credit Card number on it. So now you can sleep at night. I, OTOH, haven't heard anything from them.

And you believe this is a reason why they should not send a confirmational email that they received them and that they are being processed?

I don't think it would be good business if they did.

    Proofread.

No it's all good. The penny story was pretty wild. I'm planning to send in some IKE GSA soon. I have my reasons for why too. They will go to NGC and I will opt to leave them in the GSA. just have them wrap them with their cert. But you should really get a notification i would think. The day my cac submission was received i got a notification and they had the entire lot received in and I could log in and see that they had gotten each and every coin I sent in. I just sent some coins to PCGS 3 days ago. I will see how their process goes for grading.
