I'm always a fan of Great Britain pennies. Especially young Victorias. Most are worn but I think that makes them cooler :)

Cool coin. I've always thought about trying to get an example of a Vicky coin from all the countrie she appeared on

I know, probably an achievable goal, but other numismatic interests have kept my attention, and hobby money!

I'd never thought of that, but it's a good idea.

I lived in England for a couple of years just before my teens, and I started collecting English pennies out of loose change. I managed to collect most common dates from 1896 to 1967. My oldest was a beaten up 1863, plus a couple of other worn ones around the 1870s & 1880s. Probably my most prized one was a EF 1901..... I'd always felt that there was something special about the Queen Vic pennies, and I was always on the lookout for them.

My dad had traveled so I have been going through coins. I have Elizabeth’s but this is the first Victoria. Love the British coins. Elegance.

That would be quite a large set! She is on a lot of modern coins. The counterstamped ones and some of the Indian Princely States might be hard.
I tried to put together a list. Maybe I'll post what I have on a new thread so as not to hijack this one.

Didn't think Victoria would be on any current issues.

I don't have all of them! I just did a Numista search and scrolled through to see which ones have actual portraits.

I've managed to pull out almost a complete set of British pennies, Vicky to QE2, from my LCS. They had them for 50 cents. It was a fun time :)
These are a couple of my favorties:

FFIVN and I also pulled out a GB Penny from a roll of half dollars a couple of years ago. Quite the surprise.

I prefer the 1895-1936 reverse design over the bun head, but I still enjoy finding bun heads in bulk lots. I've got quite a few of the dates, including some in rather nice condition for their age.

I was lucky with that one - I found it quite recently in a job lot. Almost everything else in the lot was rubbish, but that one made it all worthwhile!

    Sorry I don't have an 1881, but here is an 1879 penny. Love the old British pennies. 1879 GB 1 p mobv.JPG 1879 GB 1 p rev.JPG
