Almost all the ones that I saw in Spain were straight from a sacked tomb and sold secretly.

 

The first of the 3 following glass artifacts was photographed with iPhone just few minutes ago. The 2 others were already saved in my old folders. Hope you like them as I enjoy contributing in any thread on the site.

 

Those are really cool, I mean the OP glass bottle and @DonnaML's. I would love to add something like that to my collection.

Old glass is a neat collectable. I've been to a few shows in my time. It is the same with all collectables, watch for fakes, alterations, and repairs. Make sure you get a receipt with a guarantee of authenticity from a reputable source. I first encountered fake ancient artifacts of all types in the 1970's while working for two ancient coin dealers who did shows in Europe and England. Prices for the replica's were dirt cheap and would fool most. If anyone thinks that iridescent color, dirt, bubbles, and imperfections cannot be put on "old looking" hand-blown glass...

The ancient glass bottles in my collection did not survive one of my moves and are in pretty pieces. They were crushed by stronger 17th century bottles. That small collection of glass is still in storage in TN or I'd post an image. My favorite bottles came from the Civil War era. They are light blue with U.S. Navy (Pepper and Mustard) embossed on their sides. Sorry. Let's see more ancient glass please.
