US collection

I would like to sell my uncle’s collection. But I don’t have any ideas of its value. Can you advise me the price of it?

You appear to have a lot of proof sets and commemorative coins. It is difficult to tell without a list of them. Can you provide it to the forum? You appear to have a couple of thousand dollars worth of coins, but without the list, it is hard to get to a relative value.

I wouldn't suggest depending on PCGS for accurate prices. Perhaps www.numismedia.com
I would like to suggest you bring it to a local coin store. Support the local business!

 

maybe like $750 or a bit more (off the top of my head)? look at Ebay completed auctions to get a real world feel for the prices. I bet you'd get a decent bid if you put the whole thing on Ebay with good descriptions and photos. Also postage is easy on that with a flat rate USPS box. Sell it on Ebay because the hardest part of selling on Ebay is postage and that is solved for you with the flat rate box. A local dealer will give you about 60% to 75% of what you will get on Ebay.

 

I could get close to a grand on Ebay.. Must be listed correctly.. time of day, photos, description, On a good store site.
Coin Shop I bet around 500 or 600

 

Is this a partial list? You're only showing 22 items in the list and it looks like 50 or some sets in the photo.

 

That's right - 22 items but there are many sets with 2 ore 3 coins.

I was thinking it looked like fifty or so sets too, but then I looked closer and it's actually multiple photos that look like one the way the sets are all sitting out like that.

 

My suggestion is to spend a few dollars and purchase the Red Book. Note the prices in that book would be about 20% or more overinflated but you could learn what you really have.
A coin store would offer you practically nothing if you ask and appear to know nothing about coins. If you could sell them all on ebay you may get the most for your money. As noted you may want to try several web sites too just to get aquainted with coin prices. Numismedia, Coin World, PCGS, etc.
Another idea is to just look on ebay for what similar items are selling for.
