1995 I'm not seeing anything unusual and doesn't look like a ddo.The 1949 appears to be a normal circulated wheatie.

Now I did not realize they had this series. Just found this nickel, Lewis and Clark. I think one other of the series. E24B1E4B-D740-4703-AD22-5AECE59BBDC0.jpeg

They're nice. There were 4 commemorative nickels issued during 2004 and 2005 to commemorate the Lewis and Clark expedition, commissioned under Jefferson. They're commonly referred to as the Westward Journey nickels. Each of the 4 distinct reverse designs has its own meaning and significance. The one you posted is the fourth one, showing the Corps of Discovery finally reaching the Pacific. And that sentence ("Ocean in View! O! The Joy!") was taken from Clark's journal.

Thank you. I am to hunt for the others. I have the whole set of the state quarters untouched. Saving those for son. Thanks again.

Actually, there are five different designs made by the US Mint for the Westward Journey Series. The Peace Medal and Keelboat were produced in 2004. The Bison and Ocean in View were produced in 2005. The Return to Monticello was produced in 2006.

Yes, true indeed. I stand corrected.

I think I agree. They’re like real estate. No two parcels are the same.
