Two Minor Incomplete Planchets

    Collecting Nut Borderline Hoarder

    The top coin is a 1946 and the bottom coin is a 1946-S. Each has a small clip but properly called an incomplete planchet. The ‘46 is clipped at 11:00 o’clock and the ‘46-S is clipped at 2 o’clock.

    The 3rd and 4th photos show a perfect fit on the clips.

    I don't see any evidence of the Blakesley Effect, but that doesn't always hold true.

    You’re correct it’s not always true but in this case, given the age, I’d say the effect was worn off years ago. Lol
