1970, appears to be a cud between the rim into the memorial and a possible cud between the o and n. Glue is probably the answer for the center of the coin.
2006, the material is clear which suggests clear glue, to me.

Let that be a lesson to you. You want answers, post photos and don't use your father as an excuse. I'm not buying it.

I concur with those who think it's glue on both coins.

It could be a lamination error but I am not quite sure. Wait for more experienced opinions, good luck.

The 70-D is too damaged to bother with, but looks like glue on the reverse.
The 2006 obv. is unremarkable, but the reverse looks like an extra glob of copper got deposited during plating before the strike...I’d just call it a plating issue...jmho...Spark

I hope everything is OK with your father. You don't have to explain. I think that Mr. Ransom was just trying to help, he just needed a little more information.

Anyway, thanks for providing it. That's hardened glue. Pry it off with a screwdriver if you want to keep the coins for your collection, otherwise don't even bother, just spend them. Or sometimes it takes a sharp paring knife to get under it. Hope this helps.

I guess it must be worth it if you're willing to endure all that trauma. Hope it pays off for you at some point. Uppity bastards. There should be a law against them.

There is certainly glue which is the focus. But look at this part:

This looks like a CUD to me. Also, possible doubling at NITE, but mechanical, die or image(photo) doubling I couldn't say.
