I would lay claim to that 2-cent piece. I only have one in my collection and really like that issue.

Thank you @lordmarcovan for another generous contest. You da man!

    Entry post.

OK so I navigated your contest and I went right to a specific coin that I liked. I really like it. Spain, 2 reales of Philip V, 1723-A. KM 296, Numista-6841.

Madrid mint (crowned "M" mintmark). 26 mm, .903 silver. I have never heard of .903 silver. I think it’s cool that it’s got an M minute mark. I think it’s an excellent condition. It’s some thing that I would really appreciate and would think is a gorgeous item. You have a lot of awesome coins and I love the really old ones. It was very easy to pick some thing for me for some reason that just stood right out. I’m getting kind of bored looking at the US coins and seeing ancient and exotic Coins is starting to fascinate me. That is how I’d spend 25$ with enough for you to ship it with the $19 price point and cost of packaging and postage. Doing a giveaway sounds fun actually. Thanks for having me !

    No, shipping's included, so you'd still have a $6 credit. :)

.903 silver means 90.3% pure. US silver coins were .900 fine. British coins ("Sterling" silver) was .925 fine.

I'm glad to see you join, so this post (Post #27) is a second entry post for you, to double your chances in the drawing. So if the random number generator chooses #24 (Post #24 was your entry post), or #27 (this is Post #27), then you'll win the drawing. And if you don't, there's always next time.

(There are also several other contests running here on the Contests forum currently. Check 'em out.)

Oh well I was trying to include shipping LOL omg I can’t even do a fantasy contest without adding in shipping with eBay traumatizing me and everything charging me twice for labels not knowing how to void them

OK cool so I joined and I was like 27 down that’s what it means I guess. I still have six bucks if I win. This is a lot of tasks I think I did pretty good though

I know I have a lot of intimidating text in my contest intros, but once you get the hang of it, it's easy enough.

    I like the 1865 2 cents.

Although that steel cent picked out by spirityoda is also rather nice and I'm the jealous type. ;)

Thanks LM for the continued generosity. :joyful:

I have a couple of (nickel) 3-cent pieces I need to add to the giveaway goodies page, but as of this post I have not yet had time to price them and add them. These will likely also be eligible as prize selections.

Truth be told, I have a ton of new stuff that just hasn't been added yet, because I've been so busy migrating my collections from CollectiveCoin over to CollecOnline. The latter site will be much better, since it won't have the slow page loads, and the description fields there allow for hyperlinks and additional images and such.

Once I get all my existing inventory listed on the new site, I'll be able to (eventually) start adding some of the new material. There will be plenty of nice affordable stuff.

    Here are those two 3cNs.

There's a neat obverse die break on the 1866.
