1878 7 TF question

    Could somebody please identify this coin if you can? I never could tell if it was the rev. of '78 or '79. Thanks for your help and sorry about the poor pics. Tony

    That is a Reverse of 1878 example.

    Thanks, Mark. I appreciate your response. I know it has something to do with the arrows being parralel to something and the eagle's breast feathers being convex or concave, but I just couldn't understand the arrows part of it. Once again thank you. Tony

    No problem, Tony. I don't even look at the arrows to make the determination, just the eagle's breast. If you look at a few of each type and compare them, it will get easy to tell the difference very quickly.
