Yep, hehe I finding some killer deals on eBay now!!! WOW!!! I wonder if they are gonna let all this stuff sell at ridiculous prices??? Unbelievable!
Yeah, but there are no deals to be had, I'm doing searches and refreshing and everything is still at a high price, and my guess is everything will all be perfect tomorrow as well, so no point in bidding on stuff that ends in 1 day.
Just go after the stuff that is ending immediately, and keep refreshing. Picked up some capped halves!!
even when refreshing and then getting results, you're definitely not getting all of the search results. I run one specific search every day and always have 100-150 results. Today it's only 29. several items that should come back from that search are not showing up, but they are still in my watch lists and I can access those pages directly. If no one else is able to search I'm going to get a few rips!!!! of course, since ebay is screwing up, if one of these seller's requests, I'd let them out of the deal since I really don't need these coins anyways.
All you have to do is type what you are looking for and hit enter then you will get something saying no results found at this point check the box for title and description and search again and then everything comes up. HOPE THIS HELPS
I listed several items that started in the last hour for 7 day auctions and have several watchers already so I guess everyone is not having this problem
WOW! Somebody outbid me on something I had a pretty good deal on. Even when nobody is using eBay, I still get sniped! LOL
I got some unbelievable deals last night, and I got caught up in the frenzy. I found that whenever I would refresh, I would either get none, or different results every time I refreshed. I would refresh 15-20 different times, and got new things to pop up every time. If I was a selling last night, I would be furious! I bought some vf-xf capped bust halves for $9.95 - $15.00. Tons of different stuff would come up just refreshing a blank in the Find box and catagory US Coins, which listed every coin or bill listed under US Coins. I had it set to ending soonest, and then of course you had less than <1 minute to 4 minutes to do some fast bidding, then repeat over and over. I only have about 25 old notes and don't look for them any more, but stumbled upon an awesome $5 bill from the thirties for under $2.00. A PCGS MS-65 WLH for $9.95. I lost a few deals by just a few cents too. If this was eBay's fault, they should have shut down. If I was a bigtime seller, I would have a lawsuit against them, because there was a ton of money lost last night. Actually, even if it wasn't their fault, they should have shut down to protect their sellers, from which they make their profit! After thinking the whole thing over, I decided the right thing to do was to contact the sellers and make sure they want to complete the deals. It wasn't right, and definately not their fault! I sure wouldn't want to be done that way. Oh well, maybe some of them might still complete the deals. Have to wait and see. Chuck
That's cool, I'm glad you're going to give the seller's a chance to back out. Ebay should really have a better policy to protect sellers when they have outages like last night.
WOW! Chuck that is absolutely amazing! I couldn't find jack crap on eBay. I refreshed two or three times, scrolled down and looked through some pages... Nada Very admirable to contact the sellers though.
Thanks. I feel bad about what I did. I kept refreshing many many times, found tons of great money, and just got myself caught up in the mess. Looking back, I wish I hadn't done it because it was wrong to try and take advantage of a bad situation. If eBay doesn't do something to correct what happened, their fault or not, I think it will hurt their business. But then again, there is a lot of things they should change. Chuck
I see what you are saying, and if the sellers are cool with it (which I doubt it) just take the coins and run my friend. I don't know if I would let my MS65 walker sell for $10
