as the saying goes , want to sell a Morgan have Pcgs grade it , want to buy a Morgan look for ANACS , Want to know the real grade have it graded by Anacs .
Of course buy the coin not the holder but the above seems true more often than not.

I think it got a 55 because it has been dipped , Not enough to detail it but to lower the grade . I am actually surprised though it did not get a 53

This one is over graded based on the pics that hit to the face would keep it at a 61 to me

Go easy, man. One never knows a person's background and the hardships they have endured just to exist let along rise above bad conditions and unfortunate circumstances. Many say, "the hell with it" and give up. It seems she has been fighting all of her life and finally got to a better place. We need to show more compassion and understanding.

Don't SPEAK for everyone. You do it all the time and it is childish. And when that isn't happening, your reporting posts you don't agree with and having a hissy fit. Don't DO THAT EITHER. Just talk with respect to people, like an adult. Trust your words and positions without being overly forceful. And put the ego aside or just give it a rest. All that knowledge you accumulated is valueless if you don't learn to communicate calmly and with command of your emotions and verbiage. The most important part of any posting is that it is read and considered, not to make the most noise.

People from foster-care often feel the need to interject such information inappropriately into conversation. This individual may or not be from foster-care. What do you care? Regardless. Don't take on the mantle of chief spokesman for the entire forum. It is trouble enough to just speak for oneself.

Really. FWIW, as soon as I glanced at it, I said... uch - over dipped. :) I am not a grader though.

    Vertigo Did someone say bust?

The only bad thing about anacs is 9 times out of ten the coin will sell for lower than its grade is valued at. Say an ms64 Morgan is worth 80. You will be hard pressed to get 80 for one in an anacs slab. Even if it's graded proper. If I died today I wouldn't want my kids trying to sell anything like that. Their lack of knowledge would hurt them. I would buy anacs coins. But would likely cross over to another service if it was a high dollar coin. I've seen some coins cross over equally but I've also seen them take a hit too.

Another for ignore list. You are being gratuitously belligerent. I voice my opinions, like everybody else. Don’t like it, don’t read it, and keep your personal attacks to yourself. The cardinal rule is, if you don’t like what someone says, or have a personal animus as you do for me, scroll on.

I agree. It doesn't sell as well in the markets of the two majors. To get the PCGS or NGC price, in other words, you have to be in their plastic.

that should also not be allowed and should be against forum rules. If you want to ignore someone, announcing it is just trolling without reason, and you do that all the time. This is like the third time you said you would ignore me. Just DO IT and don't announce it.

I may have been harsh, but this was an obvious troll thread. I wish it would either fade away, or become about how ANACS tends to be excessively liberal on straight graded coins that should have been detailed. The OP had an obvious agenda, but the bigger issue numismatically is TPGs giving a straight grade to a non-market acceptable coin, thereby devaluing their grading credibility, or adversely affecting the market. Lots of buyers purchase these obvious problem coins, thinking that they have a legitimate straight grade coin, when it is, in fact, an obvious problem coin.

I think they are all getting that way. I have seen plenty of NGC and PCGS coins that make me scratch my head.

You are correct. That is an uncirculated coin. I see no wear. The toning is not fabulous, but it is definitely a low grade MS. I would have said 62.
