To be honest, most of them just seem mean.. Picking on me for not being able to grade.. Not being kind in their presentation of information... It just seems like no one has anything better to do then be mean to people who may not know as much as they do... THAT is why I am upset. People just can't be kind anymore it seems..

I think they started out kind and just giving honest evaluations based upon the data given. How it evolved beyond that is something that you will have to evaluate.

You asked a question, several people provided correct succinct answers....and you told them that they had no clue what they were talking about.
Perhaps you should reevaluate your statement.

Buying a bunch of stuff when you don't necessarily know what you are buying, especially when it comes to grades.

It's called earning respect . I've gone through just horrible weeks of trash talking and you will also . Just post smart, sit back and learn. Ohh, buy a RedBook also .

I guess because in life I have learned not to let people who don't know me at all criticize me for not knowing as much as they do... Its ridiculous and probably the only joy they have in life..

Well everyone... Its been fun but i have a REAL life to get back to.. Thanks for all the "help".

Also, didn't anyone want to attempt the grade on my quarter? You all seemed to know so much about the coins I post where I gave you the grade up front..

They not really mean Jennifer but they are being straight up with you. I can't tell you why the dime didn't get a better grade it seems higher to me but always hard to grade from a pic.. as for "experts" well morgandude's opinion is very highly rated here where morgans are concerned though he can be a bit blunt when explaining he means well... I know I listen to his advice :D. as for some others well they calling it as they see it from the pics... better truth then wasting money on the same mistakes (and well ALL have made our share of them here)

It can take many many hours if not years to know how to grade and that’s just for 1 type of coin series, such as Morgan’s even specific years.
I know nothing about Morgan’s so I can’t help with you on the OP you made.
I would suggest getting a few books and even buying some coins already graded and compare.
It can be frustrating at first but with time you’ll learn to see how grading goes.
Now do TPG always get it right? No they make mistakes like everyone else.
I wish I could help more and wish you the best of luck in continuing to learn.
It can be fun and should be, or why do it? (At least IMO)

I was an active collector for 70+ years before I came to this site. I have learned more here in 3 years than in all those 70+. And, at times they frustrated me because I had been living with some inaccurate ideas.
