I'm out based on the silly design features of privy marks from non-existent mints, the metal being .999 and less than an ounce, the $85 price tag, the 5 month pre-order, and bullion dealers getting first dibs. I was really looking forward to these, but it appears the mint is being run by non-numismatic "marketing" folks.
Yeah, quite a marketing ploy, the ploy itself is a turn off for me! If I get one of these coins it will be the Peace Dollar!
The peace dollar actually isn't bad at all im not going to pay $85 for it but its the only one I would buy if I wanted one.
As others have said the mint screwed up pretty hard on this, but I still hope to get at least one of each. They will look slightly off being done in .999 rather than 900. I have been hoping for a 2021 peace/morgan set for years though, so I can't really complain with that. Just a little disappointed that they arent 100% accurate.
The more I see and hear about these, I become even less inclined to purchase any. I like the concept, but the execution is looking worse the closer it gets to release.
Yep, I agree. Very disappointing the mint is completely out of touch with it's primary customers. This isn't rocket science; just ask the people what they want and deliver. Pretty basic business model!
Jeez. How do you mess up a damn LETTER that bad! the CC is bad enough.. but the O is absolutely horrible.
Absurd to be shipping in October. If they're going to ship then they should be sold no earlier than September
