Hello All; Surprised I haven't seen any discussion on the upcoming release of the new Morgan & Peace silver dollars. May 24th, June 1st & 7th are key dates to mark down in your date book. Yes I know The US Mint is just going to cash in on this one, no pun intended, even so I am excited to hopefully be able to purchase a remake of those beauties. So make sure your computers are all tuned up and ready when they drop the green flag at 12noon May 24th. Any thoughts? See ya, The Oddsbreaker

The US Mint only 175,000 of each and a 25 household order. There going to let the big boys buy first and leave us with getting hardly any. I'm in and will flip some if I get the chance. I'm sure thier lame reason is Covid 19 is why they wont make more.
We all know what's going to happen when the date the mint starts to sell them. Gone in 60 seconds. Sorry not fast enough. Just like what happened to the silver proof silver eagles this year. I have been buying one each year and didn't think there would be any problem getting one. I went on line the night they went on sale and was surprised they were sold out. BASTARDS. That's all I can say. It looks like they're going to pull the same crap again.
Nope, not me, not interested. There are to many other valuable coins I want for my collection. Besides, I believe the newbies will make the originals more collectable and valuable. Just my opinion.
Being the odd man out, I tend to buy the releases that aren't on the top of everybody's wish lists. I never had to wait on-line to purchase the few times that purchased from the mint.... I would like to have one or two of these.... Not bad enough to sit and wait for the web to let me in though.... Is this one primed to be that kind of a thing? Sit, wait, hit refresh a hundred times hoping to get in before they sell out? If so, I am out.
If the mint treats collectors badly again, just learn to say “NO!” For once I would like see these dealers, who corner the market, get burned on one these deals with no returns. I’ve seen flippers brag on boards like this that they returned items when they saw that it was not a money making deal.
Yes you are missing that it's on the .999 commemorative blank and weighs 26.73 grams @ 1.5 inches diameter. impossible for it to have 31.10g (a troy ounce) when it's legislated to weigh 26.73g. the commemorative sized blanks in .999 silver do not weigh a troy oz., Neither did the morgan dollar or peace dollar or the earlier commemorative dollar blanks in .900 silver. American eagles have 1 troy ounce fine silver though.
