Are there any websites that sell Vatican coins?

Alan Berman has a website, and wrote the book on Papal coinage. He's a great guy, fun to talk to as well.

Then there were the papal states which went out of existence in 1870. There were a few patterns and medals issued by Popes Leo XIII, Pius X, and Benedict XV, but they are very rare. Later medals for these popes have been privately issued.

While buying the Berman book would certainly give a better picture, you might get some interest out of this summary:

Back in 1989 I did the photos for John Ryan's book on Papal coins of the medieval period. I recall having a running joke with John about my not being able to tell which side was up on so many of them (a common problem with medieval coins) but later coins of the Popes include some really beautiful designs.

Here is an 1850 Papal State 20 Baiocchi coin. I did not buy this one from Alan Berman. I have purchased modern Vatican Euro sets & bi-metal Euro coins from Alan. I highly recommend Alan for Vatican or any world coin purchases. If you send me a PM, then I can share his Email address.
