My son found this in his pocket a while back. He delivers pizzas and is given hand fulls of coins all the time as a tip so this had to have come from that. Weight per my balance beam powder scale, 53.4 grains = 3.46 grams. Very consistent thickness, .064" = 1.63mm Width, .893" = 22.68mm Height, .941" = 23.90mm No attraction to a magnet. Any ideas what this is?
OP, yeah sorry but have to agree. Its a cheap souvenir imitation of a spanish cob coin. Probably bought somewhere in the caribbean in a cheap trinket shop on vacation. It is so crudely done I had a hard time figuring out what it was attempting to copy.
I guess it wasn't much of a tip was it ? We use to turn the clock ahead in my apartment and tell the Domino's delivery guy he was late to try to get the Pizza for free when they had the under 30 minutes deal or free.
I am not surprised. While I was handling the item it didn't have enough heft to it to make me think it was actually anything. Appreciate the replies, taken with humor as I am sure they were posted.
