Got a half box of BWR halves from my CU. A quick check showed two NIFC enders in the same roll. Already have two 2018Ds but no 2017D. Unfortunately, none of the rolls were heavy, so probably no silver. Hope to find and report more goodies in the next week.
That is what I thought he meant, but? I think proofreading is needed on some posts before submitting, but that's just me.
I thought halves minted after 2004 were NIFC- not intended (or issued) for circulation. they were made for collectors.
It is post-2001 but I am convinced that 2018 halves are not NIFC and were minted with the intention of releasing them into circulation as they are very commonly found in circulation. I remember seeing them all over whether it be in rolls or in teller trays in 2018/2019. I even found one recently in the reject slot of a Coinstar: https://www.cointalk.com/threads/reject-tube-coinstar-finds.201092/page-159#post-7381750.
I always thought that it was a bit odd that the Mint decided to sell the 200-coin 2001 Mixed P&D Kennedy bags beginning in 2004.
I did proofread before I posted, but I suppose I could've used "Already had" instead of "Already have". Anyway, you interpreted it exactly - you're right on the ball, or the 9-ball, in the corner pocket.
They may have been made for collectors, but it seems like a lot ended up in circulation, based on what I have found > 13 so far, not including the two posted above or any potential others in this latest half-box.
