    I could completely fill this thread with coins I've gotten over the years but I'm only gonna post two.

    One is this 1788 gold escudo I bought from a very good friend of mine. Sold it to me for $95, only a few dollars more than melt at the time. I know it's got mounting damage (actually looks much worse in the pic than in hand) but who can turn up a near 250 year old doubloon for near melt?

    And my next one is more of a cherrypick really. It is a 1938-A Nazi Germany 1 Reichspfennig that I bought for $3 in a lot of Reichspfennigs from a dealer in Germany.

    Not only is this specific coin BU red (already tough to find in that condition), but it has strong PL surfaces that is unlike any other Nazi era business strike that I have seen. It is one of a kind as far as I know/have seen.

    Lucky you I've been looking for one,no way I'm paying $200-$300 the premiums are insane these days.

    It doesn’t matter to me when someone bought it.

    If they bought it back in 1950 when $100 was worth way more it’s still fair game. ^_^
