Alrighty, so I fiddled around with the camera, and the coin, and the lighting, and I finally got a good shot. People have been saying this coin's pics were very dark and not enough details could be seen, that also goes along with the sharpness of the coin, and the overall blurriness that can be seen. I think I took some pictures that showcase the true beauty now, and I am finally pleased with the outcome Tell me what you think First Set of Pics: Second Set of Pics:
Yes, I know, the first set of pictures were my best set, up until what I just took (The second set) Kinda like a before and after.
I can see how that could have been read. LOL When I as talking about the darkness, I was referring to the first set of pics
Hey T$ you really out did yourself. If it looks like this in hand, it is no wonder you are so attached.
Very far, from my first attempt at photos... With the flash, and the label being bigger than the coin!
Really the coin isn't that yellow in hand, but it is rather close... I got a tip to mess around with the saturation, and it did make it golder, but not perfect in hand. Although these are my best pics yet, I'll still keep going at it
You continue to improve! IMO, the 2nd pics are better (they solve the glare problem in the first pics), but they are about a half stop overexposed. Try again but with a slightly slower shutter speed.
In all honesty, the 2nd set confirms, for me anyway, what I suspected based on the first pics but couldn't tell for sure. That is that the coin is AU in my opinion. There appears to be wear on the eagle's shoulder and the obv high points.
For me it is to difficult to see how the photos compare to the real coin. I suggest you send me that coin so I can check out the similarities. :goofer:
Got a 62 from PCGS... My exact thoughts were that of yours, but when time comes to upgrade, mostly all people will look at is that grade on the label, shouldn't be a real problem, if I sell at the right time. I like the coin, a bunch, but I would want to get one with out a spot, and like you pointed out, the slight bit of wear that can be seen Sure thing, and in return why don't you send me one of yours
