Here’s a very interesting key date SLQ that just came my way. I’d love to hear some input on grade and value from the forum. It has a bit of rim damage and a pretty gnarly gash on the reverse so it would never straight grade but it sure would make a nice type set coin. Thanks in advance for any input!

Even with the gash, this is easily one of the nicest specimens I've seen in a while; AU details, at the very least. So rare to find these with a full date!

I love her. Nice balanced look. She's gentle on the eyes. Until you turn her over, that is to say, lol...

Seriously, I do like her. Express-grade, technical high EF. Too bad the surgeon can't close up that wound. :(

    I'll guess about a EF-45 . Value with ding ? Graded = $650 NGC .

You showed me your very nice example, now let me show you mine!
I was really lucky that no one else bid and I got this example for $930 delivered.
(At least I believe I was lucky)
Is that a slight drum rotation??? Maybe that's why it was cheap.

Certainly XF with a slight chance of low AU.
The question is -- Details grade?

I think it is absolutely a details grade because of the damage but it doesn’t seem to be cleaned. No hairlines and it has the faintest remaining luster.

It's got too much depth for cleaned, it's not cleaned.
