Hello everyone, I apologize if this has been posted already, but this is the first I have come across. The US Mint has announced release dates of the 2021 Peace and Morgan dollars as the following: https://catalog.usmint.gov/product-schedule/2021/ I was under the impression that it would be sold as a set. I wonder if they will be making proof types as well; hopefully more will be revealed soon.
You mean with all of the craziness of the V75 mintmark and the website crashing repeatedly and everything? lol
Of course the mint wouldn't make it that easy, make it so you have to buy them all despritato at different times 1 second is all it takes.
Remember, the dealers will get theirs several days before we the people. So, plan on a premium on top of a premium. Or, don't expect to get one in the first place.
I don't think I'm going to get one I doubt there going to be cheap like under $100 each at least I think the original price was $80 but that was months ago who knows what there plans are now!!!!.
I wonder how many people are actually collectors who want the coin for their collection compared to the number of resellers buying the coin to flip for 5x profit on ebay. I was lucky enough to get the v75 ASE last year but I actually wanted the coin. I didn't go and sell it for $500. Still have it That is the kinda thing that ruins the hobby. Good for you, you made $400 on a coin in just a few hours of time, but you robbed the chance for someone that actually wanted the coin to have it.
I'll stick to my real morgans and peace ✌ never bought anything so far from the mint for this exact reason.
I understood there would be proof versions. What gives? Whoever said train wreck is on the right path.
This same thing is happening with sports cards. Panini and Topps make cards and sell them at retail locations at $20 a box or whatever. Resellers buy them and sell them for $100 a box or something like that. You can only enjoy collecting/opening them if you have the time to get there before the resellers snatch them up or if you have the budget to buy them at jacked up prices. Sad really. The reason kids aren't in the hobby anymore.
You keep saying that for everything but it simply isn’t true. It’s a limited number of high montage products that happens with where they pay more and have to arrange pickup themselves at their own cost, not every product
