Wow. I’m sorry that you felt belittled & challenged by my simple post because that was certainly not the intent when I wrote it. It was intended to be nothing more than an informative post to your thread. I think you may have read much more into my post that is really there. If I offended Yakpoo in anyway, I hope that I would hear about it from Yakpoo so that I could apologize appropriately.

    Doug,

I would use PCGS definition but if you prefer to define rare in some other way, then simply define you version of rare and post your coin.

No matter what you come up with, I stand behind my statement that you providing the exception not the rule. The majority of the time rarity is a key indicator of price.

Yes, as I stated earlier, I don't know enough about the darkside to know if my statement is valid.

Probably because they always agree with you. That's really productive. :rolling:

If you're not insecure, why do you feel the need to constantly defend yourself against the "attacks" of the "knuckleheads"?

Big reason, preserving the original intent of the thread. I see it so common where people derail threads with their own agendas or ideas and the threads do a 180 from the original intent. That's what I fight to defend and hey, if I have to defend myself in the process, might as well.

And no, they don't always agree with me. There are plenty of times we have differing opinions, but they go out of their WAY to help me, that's why I listen to them more. If you or anyone else here did that, I'm sure I'd listen to you more closely as well, but you don't.

This has nothing to do with agenda's. It's people getting their feelings/ego's hurt and can't let go. It's a shame to have a good discussion get derailed like this because of personality. I am not pointing the finger at anybody, but we are losing sight of the inetent of this forum. COINS and CURRENCY. I got caught up in this a while back and wish one of the admins would just delete the thread, because we keep going back to the egos.

I believe this thread will sort itself out. Let the market decide if it continues.

I'll keep trying. With the right seller, this coin could reach $500:

    Postumus
    AE double sestertius
    Cologne ?, 259-268 AD
    IMP C M CASS LAT POSTVMVS P F AVG
laureate, radiate, draped and cuirassed bust r.
    LAETITA (sic!), AVG in ex.
    galley right
    cf. RIC V 144, 207, Bastien - , Cohen -

Rare spelling error, LAETITA instead of LAETITIA. One other known.

I'm going to lock this thread as it seems like some of you like to harp on this issue. What makes me upset the most is how some of you are acting like little kids...fighting, and acting like you own the thread and no one else. For petes sake guys really - if you have a problem with a member talk to them and try to find a path around the issue. If you can't, use the ignore button...but DON'T feel like you should post on all of their threads.

If you can't understand what the title of the thread means, then ask, and in turn, I will hope that you will answer with a clear post on WHAT the thread is about. I found it hard myself to know what this thread was about, and I still am in the dark alittle, but I think most of the 17 pages are nothing but air.

Everyone of us are different - we have investers, collectors, and even guys that don't collect. What we need to learn is how to build our knowledge up with those in different fields than where we are....and not how to break down them to our level. If you are a collector, then try and learn how the invester thinks and acts...you may just be able to use those skills in a differnet type of work later in life. In turn, those of you who are investers need to look at the reasons collectors give on why they feel investing is NOT a good idea with coins.

I said we are all different..but we are all the same in that we all have to follow the rules.

So go get a cup of coffee, and settle down guys -
