This person has very little knowledge of numismatics. If you scan his/her threads you will see more "titfortat" than almost anyone else. That's preceisly because he does not know what he is talking about. So when he poses a question or comment he has to re-address it endlessly as he learns his/her folly and grapple with his lack of knowledge. It's as if he is adjusting as he attemts not to look to uninformed "all at once". This is a classic case of "I don't know but my main purpose in life is to convice you I might"!
Many people suffer with this as they often try to "jump into a study" without going to school first.
I suspected this almost the first time a read his comments.
There is 27 different known ways to deceive and this one is a classic easily learned one, it's just that on CT he ran right into to a whole bunch of very well informed people and he has not figured out a way out yet.
My only tried and true advice is "you can't save your ^@# and your face at the same time. But in all seriousness though please don't try and con me I'm the best that ever lived and you will forever be out of your league.

what is flaming & attaching

I felt that I was flamed twice so I left this thread. Now it is 15 pages later and this thread is still alive. Below is a copy of my two early posts and BNB’s replies. When I post, I do it for fun & education. If I make a mistake, then I stand corrected. If people want to argue, then count me out.

I am curious to know what you all on the forum value as your most rare most precious coin.

I hate to pre-qualify, but I have to.

No cheap under $500 coins, sorry. They have to be worth at LEAST $500 and up.

Mine would be the 1937-D 3 Legged Buffalo Nickel.

I have hundreds of error coins that are unique and therefore rare.

For a non-error, regular issue US coin, I would probably post my 1922 no D cent. Only one die pair was used for this date.

For a proof manufacture variety, I'm tempted to post a 1961 Half Dollar with DDR.

I'll define my version of rare for this thread like it implies from the start,

There are coins that are rare. RARE. Simply choose what you believe in your mind is your rarest coin that you think has an edge upon someone else's choice of their rarest coin. The bottom line is, from my experience, I don't think there is just ONE world's rarest coin. There are quite a few. And that's why this thread was made, for me and others to see what you the poster value as a very low mintage coin that you like a lot. And it'd be a plus if you owned it too!

Now knock it off some of you!

I don't know what I may have said to upset anyone. I didn’t see any arguments going on when I started typing. Now this thread is arbitrary. I didn’t intend to jump in & seem to have jumped into an argument you guys were having. Arrogance and confrontation in the face of fact are marks of someone who either is:

a) not listening

or

b) trying to start confrontation for confrontation's sake.

Either way it is disturbing to the forum and sidetracks many interesting threads with petty bickering and back and forth.

BNB says he wants to learn and then tries to silence the very people who are trying to teach him. Personally I have started to think twice before I even post in his threads, I just don't need the drama in my life. I'd rather try to share with someone who is interested in learning.

 

I also think that my choice of signature files says it all.

Answer me this.. Why do I favor educational teachings from Lehigh96, Illini420, and a few others and RARELY get into the disagreement I get into with some of you?

Because they go outta there way to make it clear it's nothing personal.

The rest of you guys do a darn good job not only making it personal, but don't even offer your friendship to me.. A true sign of I wouldn't say an enemy, but someone who is against you. I don't trust a lotta people in this world and there are only a handful on this forum I actually can say I think I trust.. The ones who lose my about-to have- trust instantly are those who criticize me without ever saying anything nice to me. It's all doom and gloom, bad bad wrong wrong talk and quite honestly, I'm no dummy, I know when someone is jerking my chain and to be quite frank, I have gotten over 5 PMs because of this thread from people who said the same thing. So obviously I am onto something here that most of you who are defending yourselves and positions are in strict denial about and so are a bunch of other people. I can say for record's sake, that EVERY PM I got was in support of me and how I was just here to get some discussion on everyone's rare coins.. But a few knuckleheads(and yes, that's what one person via PM called some of you guys) have to derail it just because you wanna be the bully or the "know-it-all" in charge of the thread. Ain't happening.

 

Hey, in your view it has and that's VERY easy to say when you haven't contributed a whole lot to this thread like some of us have... But it's funny how you say this right after I make a reply but not after these few troublestarters start throwing their malice again.. Interesting.. Favoritism or is someone taking sides here? Sure seems like it.. It's because I'm the new guy right..

But anyway, some people like mikenodle, and that bh guy do not know how to let things go.

There was no reason to start up the BNB attack machine again, but they chose to. So they are the guilty ones, I am just here to defend myself as usual. Usually insecurities are the reasons people attack others like this.. See, if there wasn't so much pre-judgement getting thrown around here like candy and some of you attackers towards me actually met me, you'd realize that I'm a pretty down to earth nice guy. Sadly however, you'd rather believe your thoughts which I believe are heavily distorted about me and continue to put me down.

CT has helped me greatly so far, this critcism towards me is unwaranted and just sets me back a pace when it comes to having respect for this forum as a whole. Oh, and by the way, it scares the HECK outta new users, 3 PMs this month over my attacks from anonymous users saying they quit the forum or will consider it because of some of the unwaranted attacks by people like this.. So yeah, it doesn't help the community friendly environment either.

 

ALSO I want to reiterate this, I have gotten 3 PM's from users this month regarding a previous thread and this over the unfair attacks saying basically they will quit the forum or were heavily considering it. Not COOL. It's all brought about by one group of people too and more than likely, insecurity is the main driving factor. Since we are all humans, we should love thy neighbor, not crap on them for not doing something you expect them to do. So yeah, that's not a very attractive thing to know when CT prides itself on a community friendly environment.

 

I, if you would quit flapping your lipps, made a post quite earlier about not seeing what everyone was upaset about. I was trying to be impartial and open to listening to the various arguments, which I said was healthy. Please go back and look before you start going after me. Cuz I'm from Texas and we don't take kindly to empty accusations. Either that or meet me out on the playground, where you hang out after hours.

 

It's VERY easy to say this thread has gone in the ditch when you weren't the one who started it.. So please, with all due respect, there's no reason to put down this thread. It's just counter-productive for all of us at this point.

 

Imagine you were an interested party in this thread....

Now imagine if you had to wade through all the junk not related to the original post just to find what you were looking for...
